Holly Willoughby has said that she doesn’t understand why Jack Maynard was removed from the I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! jungle.

The YouTube star was removed from the show following controversy surrounding tweets he had sent between 2012 and 2013.

The tweets contained racist language and homophobic slurs and have since been deleted.

Holly Willoughby has now given her two cents on Jack’s axing from the popular reality show.

The presenter said that she didn’t understand why the 22-year-old was removed because “we knew about these messages before he went in.”

Speaking on This Morning earlier today, she said:

“I don’t understand this.

“We knew about these messages before we went in. He apologised. I don’t understand.”

Guest Alison Hammond then assured Holly that there is “more that will come out later” that affected Jack’s ability to remain a part of the show.

It has since been revealed that Jack allegedly sent inappropriate messages to a female fan before entering the jungle.
