Sean pulled Lola for a chat during the episode to make their relationship official.
"When you spend 24 hours of every day with someone, I think you do get to know someone a lot more," he told Lola on the villa's terrace.
"Coming in, I said I wanted somebody who’s tapped, weird, and someone who is funny. You get my humour, but you actually make me laugh too, which is kind of rare. And I do think as well, the trust thing."
Sean added that if there was a recoupling, he'd have his "speech ready."
"One thing I’d be saying is like, I have never met a girl ever who has made me trust so quickly."
“I don’t see anyone turning my head, and I do think we do really trust each other," he continued.
The couple agreed to be closed off, and made jokes about having four children together one day.
The Galway GAA star confessed that he's both surprised and not surprised at the pair becoming exclusive, adding that "when you just know, you know."
Fans have had mixed reactions across social media. Some are celebrating the new couple, but others are questioning if the pair will be tested later in the show, especially as it is so early on.
Love Island viewers were shocked to see this couple become "officially locked off", after just one week in the villa. Irish contestant Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald has been coupled up with Lola Deal since the first day. During last night's episode, the pair decided to become officially exclusive.
