There’s not long left to go now.
Meghan Markle’s half-sister Samantha Grant (also known as Samantha Markle) has confirmed she is going into the Celebrity Big Brother house.
She has had some harsh words for the Duchess of Sussex in the past, from Meghan’s treatment of her dad to her apparent stinginess to the fact that the Duchess hasn’t bothered to see her half-sister in a very long time.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Channel 5 bosses were keen to get the 53-year-old on the upcoming series – and now she has confirmed the news herself.
She recently appeared on Inside Edition, where she discussed the show and her reasoning behind signing up for it.
She said:
“Why not? Life is about cashing in.
“You take opportunities as they arise and hopefully you enjoy the ride and make it as positive as you can.
“There’s nothing wrong with it.’
And she claimed that she would not be discussing the Duchess of Sussex when she did appear on the show, adding: “The purpose of that show would not be to discuss [Meghan].”
This year’s series, called Eye of the Storm, is set to feature a number of contestants who have found themselves in the middle of media storms.
Coronation Street‘s Ryan Thomas is said to be making his reality TV debut this summer by entering the CBB house.
He’ll be following in the footsteps of his other brothers, Adam and Scott, who appeared onI’m A Celeb and Love Island respectively a few years back.
And Love Island’s Gabby Allen, who placed fourth with then-boyfriend Marcel Somerville in last year’s series, is also rumoured to be joining the series.
Other possible names entering the house are Katie Price’s ex Kieran Hayler, Stormy Daniels and our favourite member of the Fab Five, Jonathan Van Ness.
