We can't say that we're really that surprised...
Lucan's finest The Riptide Movement has something to celebrate this week as their album 'Getting Through' reaches gold status in Ireland.
The news tops off an extremely successful year that seen the quartet enjoy a run of summer festivals including a support slot with Neil Young in Cork and The Coronas at Kilmainham, a fantastic Glastonbury set, a sold-out National Irish tour, a week-long US tour and two chart topping singles.
“It’s been a really incredible year for us, one of the best, and we cannot wait to get stuck into next year. It’s going to be even bigger and better", frontman Mal Touhy said.
Just look how happy they are... one for the mantelpiece.
