New potential shock romance for ‘brothers’ Ali and Ryan on Corrie

Didn't really see this one coming, to be honest.

When we think of iconic romances in Coronation Street, the usual suspects tend to crop up. Ken and Deirdre, Les and Janice, Roy and Tracey... the list goes on. And honestly, we haven't really included Ryan Connor and Ali Neeson in that group because well, why would you? They're technically kind of brothers, they hate each other, and they just haven't really been giving off the most promising of into-each-other vibes, in fairness to them. Until now, that is. Actor Ryan Prescott recently teased that his character's upcoming storyline was going to involve an unexpected love interest. Naturally, everybody got pretty excited about this and began theorising as to who is could possibly be because, you know, we haven't got a whole lot going on in our lives at the moment. Neither do some of the people on soap forums either, because they've somehow managed to figure out that Ryan's upcoming love interest could very well be none other than Ali. Shocking, we know. Apparently, the pair's intense hatred could soon turn into intense passion at the two lads continue to butt heads as the shos progresses. Digital Spy are currently running a poll asking people if they'd like the pair to get together. And, yeah OK, the majority of people do not want to see them together at all but that doesn't mean it won't happen lads. "100 percent yes," said one person. "Mainly to see Michelle's reaction, but also would love a gay/bi couple in Coronation Street." "Only to see Michelle's reaction, again! She'll be like 'I thought you were my sons,'" mused another. Another argued it would be "a bit weird" but that "knowing Corrie they prob will." And yeah, it would be a bit weird we suppose but seeing as the lads aren't related by blood, it certainly wouldn't be the weird thing that the soap has ever done. Only time will tell, we guess.
