The Olympia panto is coming back this Christmas

Ellen Fitzpatrick

Boy have we missed it.

As restrictions are set to lift fully by October 22nd, and live entertainment is returning in all its glory, the Christmas Panto is officially coming back.

Dublin’s Olympia Theatre has officially revealed that the Christmas pantomime is making its return to the stage this holiday season.

This year they’re bringing us Olly, Polly & The Beanstalk, it definitely looks like one you won’t want to miss with Fair City stars Ryan Andrews and Maclean Burke starring.

And they’re not the only two famous faces we’ll get to see on the Olympia stage, with TV star and influencer James Patrice joining them, alongside Dancing With The Stars’ Erin McGregor.

You guessed it from that title, the panto this year is a take on Jack and the Beanstalk, but with a modern twist.

“We’re really looking forward to this,” Ryan Andrews told RTÉ. “It’s going to be a fun show with a laugh-a-minute script, dazzling dancers and all-star cast.

“Most of all though, we’re going to have a brilliant time interacting with a live audience once again. You just can’t beat a panto crowd for audience participation.”

Ryan is set to play Olly, while Maclean is playing Polly, joined by Les Miserable on the West End star Rob Vickers, Michaela O’Neill and Riverdance’s Zoe Talbot.

Olly, Polly & The Beanstalk will hit the stage from December 22 to January 9 and tickets are available from Ticketmaster, which are on sale now.
