RTÉ has confirmed when Patrick Kielty’s first Late Late Show will air.

The official Late Late Show Instagram page confirmed the show will return on Friday, September 15th at 9.35 pm.

Kielty takes over from former host Ryan Tubridy who announced he was leaving the show earlier this year.

Speaking about taking on the huge presenting gig, Patrick Kielty said:

“To follow in the footsteps of Gay, Pat, and Ryan as the next custodian is a real honour and I can’t thank RTÉ enough for giving me the chance to be a part of the next chapter of such an iconic show.”

He said becoming the new Late Late Show host is “humbling”.
