You honestly won’t believe how many people watched the Toy Show on Friday night

It really is one of our favourite nights of the year! On Friday night, we all got our comfiest pyjamas on, poured ourselves a glass of vino and watched the Toy Show. And it seems like we were not alone. According to figures released by RTÉ, the Late Late Toy Show was the most watched programme on Irish TV so far this year. Pretty impressive. The Greatest Showman themed Toy Show had a 74 percent share of the audience watching TV on Friday night. Ah, the power of toys. Also, an average of 1.3 million people watched the show live. A further 141,700 viewers watched a recording of the show on Saturday and 51,900 viewers did the same on Sunday. Dedication to the cause. Impressively, viewership on the RTÉ player was up 33 percent from last year, with over 116,000 live streams and over 100,000 people watching on catch up over the weekend. Our favourite fact from the night? The Toy Show was watched in over 100 countries outside of Ireland with people watching in countries like Myanmar, Burundi, Haiti and Mongolia. AMAZING!
