There was a reference to The Office in A Quiet Place and it was quite sweet

Did you spot this?

It turns out that The Office and A Quiet Place actually have something in common – and it’s more than just John Krasinski.

At first watch, the recently-released horror film doesn’t appear to have much in common with Dunder Mifflin.

Especially with all of the lethal, sound-hunting aliens.

But, moving past all of the deaths, birth, and, well, that scene with the nail, there’s something that’s reminding fans of the beloved sitcom.

One of the sweeter moments of A Quiet Place sees Evelyn and Lee Abbott (played by Emily Blunt and John Krasinski) sharing a dance to a Neil Young’s Harvest Moon.

In an effort to get him to take a break from the project he’s working on, Evelyn gently pulls her husband to his feet and takes out one of her earbuds so he can listen to the song, too.

And it’s giving fans of The Office some serious flashbacks.

The beloved comedy series, which aired in the United States between 2005 and 2013, shows Krasinski’s character Jim Halpert fall for the office secretary, Pam Beesly.

The will-they-or-won’t-they relationship between them captured the hearts of fans across the globe – and, as it turns out, the pair actually share a pretty similar (and also very sweet) headphone moment in the second season of the show.

And fans of the series couldn’t help but be really, really excited at what appeared to be a nod to The Office.
