Squid Game 2 officially confirmed by series creator
It was inevitable.
Squid Game 2 is officially happening according to creator-director Hwang Dong-hyu, who said the sheer demand from fans left him "no choice"
Speaking to Associated Press' entertainment team at a media event, he said categorically that "there will indeed be a second season." Rejoice, my friends.

Dong-hyuk explained "there's been so much pressure, so much demand, and so much love for a second season. So I almost feel like you leave us no choice."
Though there were many details he could give, obviously, he went on to say: "It's in my head right now. I'm in the planning process currently. But I do think it's too early to say when and how that's going to happen."
He had previously mentioned in an interview with The Guardian that the early beginnings of the hit Netflix series came from a movie script he had been working on, so we're sure there are plenty of f***ed up ideas still lying around in that noggin'.
We won't know for some time when we can expect to get our hands on Squid Game 2 but let just say people were already champing at the bit for more craziness the second they finished season one.
