Virgin River creators are working on another spin-off series

Virgin River fans are going to be thrilled with this news

The team behind the Netflix hit is adapting another Robyn Carr book series.

Roma Roth is set to adapt the bestselling Thunder Point series and fans are overjoyed by the news.

There are nine books included in the Thunder Point series with the stories taking place in a small coastal town.

The charming and rugged location will remind viewers of Virgin River, but the book's storylines are full of mystery, drama, and romance.

In the Thunder Point series, newcomer Hank Cooper arrives in Thunder Point to attend the funeral of an old friend. He's left stunned when he is left a beachfront property but it is now in the middle of a town dispute.

The town's destiny is now in Cooper's hands but will he be able to help the community?

Never being a man to settle in one place, Cooper finds himself drawn to both the town and the complicated Sarah Dupre.

A new Robyn Carr series is in the works

Speaking about the project, Roma Roth told Deadline:

"Thunder Point has drama, mystery, and romance, all the ingredients you need to successfully build a global hit series.

"It is certain to appeal to fans of both Sullivan's Crossing and Virgin River but this time the story is told from a male perspective.

"We are beyond excited to be continuing our incredibly successful run with best-selling author Robyn Carr," she added.

Both of Carr's book series Virgin River and Sullivan's Crossing were adapted for the screen by Roth's Reel World Management.

Author Robyn Carr says the book series is in good hands with Roth and her team.

She shared: "I’m so thrilled that Roma will be producing Thunder Point. She did such an exceptional job with her previous adaptations of my work, and I just can’t wait to see who she casts for this fan favourite small-town series."
