Anyone for a drink?

Lads, the bank holiday is upon us, and that means one thing, and one thing only.

Drinks outside with the gals!

There is honestly nothing better than perching yourself in a fab beer garden, gin in hand.

And thankfully, this lovely country of ours has a wealth of beer gardens just waiting for us.

Check out our top 10 from across the nation:

The Address at Dublin 1.

This fab city centre hotel has just opened a snazzy new rooftop bar, with a beer garden! With lovely views, and and even lovelier cocktail menu – this is the the perfect spot for an after-work drink.

House, Limerick.

On the bank of the Shannon rests this beautiful watering hole. The Garden at House Limerick is decked out with fairy lights, lanterns and plants for a super rustic vibe. Divine.

Billy Byrnes, Kilkenny.

Billy Byrnes is one of Kilkennys most-loved pubs!  Their funky beer garden is furnished with rescued sofas and home-made tables, like a beach bar in the middle of the city!

The Beach Bar, Sligo.

A personal favourite of mine, The Beach Bar is a bit of a hidden treasure. This old world pub sits peacefully on the unspoiled Aughris beach in Sligo bay, with the Atlantic waves rolling in outside the front door. Perfection.

Sean’s Bar, Westmeath.

Sean’s Bar in Athlone  claims to be the oldest pub in Ireland with an origin date of 900AD. They’re actually been listed in the Guinness World Book of Records (ooh la la).The traditional pub is home to a quirky but lively beer garden.

Cutter’s Wharf, Belfast.

On the bank of the river Lagan lies Cutters Wharf, the perfect setting for any occasion. Their fully heated (no thank you, I’m sweating) riverside terrace with state of the art awnings is the ideal location for an evening beer with the gals.

Sammy’s Bar, Kerry.

Imagine enjoying your drinks just metres from crashing waves? Yep, that’s what Sammy’s Bar has to offer. Stunning sea views, and delicious food… what’s not to love?

O’Connells, Galway.

If there’s one thing the City of Tribes is known for, it’s the glorious pubs, and O’Connells is my absolute fave. They recently got their beer garden done up, and it actually looks like something out of Harry Potter.

Deep South, Cork.

A dedicated craft beer bar with a rotating selection of local beers? A new summer cocktail menu to tickle your tastebuds? Check. Deep South is one of Cork’s finest!

Camden Exchange, Dublin.

Last, but never least, one of my favourite bars in the capital city! Camden Exchange has a really groovy beer garden, and curry chips on the menu. A winning combination.
