New parents to be can expect to spend the holidays scouring history books and peering up at the clouds in order to pick the most fashionable of baby names.
US analysts have predicted that the 2013 birth register will be filled with Roman God inspired names after the success of The Hunger Games and Game of Thrones.
"Choices we’ll be hearing more of include Augustus and Atticus, Persephone and Athena, Juno and Julius, Thor and Maeve.

Parents have been inspired by the hit of the summer The Hunger Games
“The appeal transcends the pop culture influence: These names are as powerful as they are deep, arming a child to triumph over earthly challenges,” said analysts Pamala Redmond Satran and Linda Rosenkrantz according to Yahoo News.
The researchers predict that this year, parents throughout the world will become more inspired by nature as names like Winter, Snow, Frost and Rain are set to rise.
It also seems that Wanye Rooney is finally on trend as Scandinavian names such as Kai, Liv, Mangue, Lars and Astrid are set to have a year in the sun.

Weather inspired names are expected to be big this year
A little less gripping is the rise in the number of nostalgic names such as Annie, Molly, Ben, Max, Fay, Millie, Hank and Monty which are said to be the last wave of ‘grandma and grandpa’ names as less people are inclined to stick to the classics.
Judging by the latest Breaking Dawn hysteria we can only predict that Bella, Edward and Jacob will make another dramatic comeback and they’ll be some new mums on the block calling Katniss and Peeta in for dinner!
Will you be following the trend? Personally we think there's something to be said for Persephone!
