Channing Tatum’s daughter had sweet reaction to Halloween candy prank

Oh dear.

Channing Tatum’s in big trouble.

It doesn’t ever feel truly like Halloween until Jimmy Kimmel’s annual candy prank has taken place.

The joke sees parents tell their kids that they’ve eaten all of their Halloween candy, while recording their reactions – which often end up going viral.

Kimmel is currently off to get ready for his son Billy’s second heart surgery, so Channing Tatum stepped in as a guest host.

Tatum made sure to renew the annual appeal for parents to pull the trick and fake-steal their kids’ sweets and record their crestfallen relations on the show this week.

But, as he explained, he wasn’t going to ask folks to do it without doing it himself.

So he showed viewers what happened when he played the practical joke on his 4-year-old daughter, Everly.

As he broke the news, the little girl turned away from him and ran to her mum, Jenna Dewan Tatum, and buried her face in her legs.

After a few moments, the 37-year-old revealed that it was all just a joke – and little Everly was less than impressed.

As she remained by her mum, she exclaimed:

“That’s not funny!”

Awww!

The Magic Mike star wasn’t the only celebrity to pull the same stunt.

Jimmy Kimmel recorded a video of himself “breaking the news” to his 3-year-old daughter Jane – and it’s pretty adorable.

The toddler took the news relatively well at first…before things took a slight turn.
