The National Infertility Support and Information Group (NSIG) is hosting their annual fertility/infertility conference this October 2014, with fertility expert Dr George Ndukwe leading the event.

The NSIG will also host workshops providing advice and support to people who have fertility issues available on the day. According to the latest statistics, 1 in 6 people in Ireland are affected by fertility issues, with 7,850 Irish couples receiving treatment to help them conceive each year.

Dr George Ndukwe, who is one of the most experienced fertility specialists in Europe, will be at the conference to discuss auto immune issues, as well as being joined by June Shannon, an IVF patient who will share her experience with attendees on the day.

It is now believed that fertility issues lie 40% with women, 40% with men, 10% both and 10% unexplained. The conference will address a variety of IVF concerns over the infertility landscape including the psychological implications of infertility, hormone testing, auto-immune issues, developments in IVF treatment as well as genetic screening and more.

This year’s NISIG conference is taking place at the Hilton Dublin Airport on October 11th from 9am to 5pm and will include workshops in the afternoon from 2pm to 5pm providing advice and support to people who are experiencing fertility issues or have questions regarding the treatment procedure.

A complete list of work-shops will be made available on www.nisig.ie in advance of the conference. Register your interest by e mailing [email protected] or visit NISIG’s website here.

NISIG hold monthly support groups throughout the country offering advice, information and guidance for both men and women who are suffering from fertility issues.
