Do you know anyone who’s desperately missing their Toy Story doll?

A woman who rescued a Woody doll from the side of the road is hoping to find his owner, known only as “Liam”.

Toy Story fan Bev McNeill in the UK, spotted the lonely toy at the side of the M4 near Heathrow airport after it fell from a moving car, but wasn’t able to stop at the time to retrieve it.

Seven weeks later, she spotted the doll on the ground and rescued Woody from the depths of despair.

“I’m a big fan of Toy Story and of Woody in particular and it was so sad to see him lying there on the side of the road – just like in the movie” said Bev.

“The guy in the car behind me was giving me a very strange look, but when I held up Woody to show him he just said ‘aww’.”

The drawstring doll had “Liam” written on its boot and so a campaign was born. A Twitter appeal with the hashtag #getwoodyhome began to trend and soon thousands of people were on board.

Even Toy Story writer and Pixar director Andrew Stanton retweeted the #getwoodyhome message.

Let’s hope that Woody is reunited soon!
