This evening, Terrie McEvoy has poured her heart out to her 121K fans on Instagram.
Revealing that she is in mourning, the blogger admitted that she “wrote this post about 30 times and it just feels like I will never get the right words together to explain”.
She continued: “There are no words that will ever sum up the pain and heartbreak we have felt.”
Terrie went on to explain that her boyfriend David’s mother had died. In her Instagram post, she furthermore shared a snap of David on the beach in Malahide throwing white roses into the water.
“We are beyond crushed after losing such an incredible soul… the woman who raised the most amazing family and left a legacy nobody will ever forget,” she explained.
Ms McEvoy went on: “It was an absolute privilege to have known and loved David’s mother with all of my heart and even more of a privilege to care for her and her family in her final few weeks and minutes…. I will never forget it and will always be honoured that she ‘felt safe’ with me.”
A nurse by profession, Terrie paid tribute to the medical staff at Beaumont hospital, stating “there will just never be enough words you were her second family”.
She continued: “We somehow need to find the strength to keep moving and be positive because… well… we have to! It’s what she would have wanted.
“We’ve said our little prayers and had our chats. I made a special little promise that I will always keep no matter what. We know one day we will meet again.
“But for now… I’ll take care of your one and only ‘baby boy’. Until then, watch over us. See you on the beach Tina.”
