PHOTOS: Woman Takes To Twitter To Share Every Detail Of Her 12-Hour Birth With The World

Most of us would have other things on our mind while giving birth but British woman Lyndsey Thomas took time out to share each detail of her 12-hour labour on Twitter. The 34-year-old began live-tweeting her labour once her contractions started with the hashtag #lyndsaygivesbirth and continued until her daughter Fearne was born. Thomas says she decided to document the life-changing moment as a "social experiment". "I wanted to capture as much as I could, even during my contractions. It was a way of keeping my mind off the pain and telling friends what was happening," she said. "It was also a kind of social experiment to see what the reaction would be like. Everyone was very positive. People were even guessing the weight and the time I would give birth.
