TG4 have launched two new exciting apps to help your little one grasp the Irish language.
The two new releases, Cúlacaint2 and OLLY an Veain Bheag Bhán were officially launched earlier this month at the Oireachtas na Gaeilge 2012 festival in Letterkenny.
Mums and dads can download the apps for free, straight to their iPhones and iPads from the iTunes store.
The apps hope to encourage children all over the world to interact online as Gaeilge in association with Cúla4.
TG4 Head of Output, Lís Ní Dhálaigh says “Today’s kids are very discerning in their viewing choices and TG4 is keeping in tune with their needs and wishes by offering their favourite content in Irish on all platforms.
“As smart devices increase in popularity among all ages, we are breaking new ground by ensuring that this important platform has attractive Irish language offerings too.

“We’ve been really heartened by the positive reaction to our first App, Cúlacaint. Our next TG4 App, Ag Spraoi le Claude, also for this pre-school age-group will launch later in November and other developments are being planned,” she said.
Cúlacaint2 is an app that presents your child with 100 fun Irish language words along with images and sounds, to provide an interactive learning enviournment for your child. The app allows children to build skills in both written and spoken Irish.
Meanwhile, the OLLY an Veain Bheag Bhán app bases itself on the popular animation series for young children and features a helpful little van and his driver stan. The app encourages children to interact with Olly and help is friends deliver important packages while building their skills in Irish.
