We’d be nothing without our mammy, and we’re glad these ladies know that too. So who’s our top picks of mammy/daughter duos?
1. Beyoncé and Tina Knowles
Queen B herself has always been a proud supporter of mum Tina. From gushing about their friendship in interviews, to sporting her designs (even the dodgy Destiny’s Child wardrobe), we’re loving this mother/daughter duo. We’ve no doubt Beyonce is taking parenting tips from mammy Tina now that Blue Ivy is hitting the terrible twos…
2. Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn
When your mum is a Hollywood A-lister, it’s not shocking to presume you’ll be heading into the film business yourself. But what if you’re both warm, beautiful and have a personality to boot? There was no stopping Kate Hudson (and we bet Goldie would’ve had a word to say to anyone who tried)
3. Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner
There’s very little we can tell you about this pairing that you probably haven’t already seen on Keeping up with the Kardashians. Momager Kris has never been shy of her ambitions for her clan, with Kim’s success being the backbone for an entire Kardashian clothing range, make-up line and numerous spin-off shows. We may be grateful our mam is a bit more relaxed, but there’s no denying Mammy knows best when it comes to marketing the KK charms.
4. Jerry Hall and Georgia May Jagger
When your mam has dated Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger, there’s probably very little she can’t advise you on when it comes to boy problems. The successful model and actress has passed on her genes (and success) to daughter Georgia, who has been the face for campaigns with Chanel, Rimmel, H&M and Versace. We can’t imagine how stunning the family photo album must be.
5. Blythe Danner and Gwyneth Paltrow
We’re not sure how Blythe felt about her grandchildren’s names (Apple and Moses never really took off), but she’s quick to jump to her daughter’s defence. As well as her acting career, Paltrow launched her controversial Goop website, and has faced criticism on her views on parenting, fashion and lifestyle choices. Speaking on her daughter Gwyneth’s career, Blythe has said she believes people don’t like her because she’s “just extraordinarily accomplished.” Now that’s love.
