A Spanish organisation called Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk Foundation (ANAR) have taken a unique approach to raising awareness of child abuse.
Their ad displays a different message for adults and children at the same time.
The video above explains the science behind the poster. The ad has a lenticular top layer which shows different images from various angles. If an adult (or anyone above four feet five inches) sees the ad they read, "Sometimes child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it".
When a child reads the ad they see bruises and cuts on the boy's face and a line that reads, "If somebody hurts you, phone us and we’ll help you" alongside the helpline's number.
Comments on the YouTube video have included sceptics who claim toy companies will start using the same science to sell their products to kids. Comments also criticise the foundation posting the ad on YouTube, revealing the ad's secret.
We say if it gets people talking and raising awareness of child abuse, it must be doing something right.
