We can't image how hard it must be for Lisa Abeyta to see her father in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's with very little speech left, and losing almost all of his ability to communicate.
But during a recent interaction with their family dog, Roscoe, Lisa caught her father break into conversation with their furry family member. Lisa was shocked to see her father find the ability to speak again, even if it was brief, and took her camera out to record the moment.
Lisa writes on the video:
'Not wanting to lose the memory of a moment, I filmed a few moments of his interaction with our dog.'
This really is heartbreaking. Guess dogs really are a man's best friend.
