WATCH: They Made A ‘Normal’ Barbie Doll And Gave Her To Children. Their Reaction Is Pretty Special

This video is about to make you feel instantly relieved for the future of children. ‘Cause they seem to have it pretty much figured out. Designer Nickolay Lamm created a ‘normal’ Barbie, calling her Lammily and basing her design on the proportions of an average 19-year old. The Lammily store even offers new additions to the doll, known as ‘Lammily Marks’ – stickers that can be added to the dolls to showcase stretch marks, freckles, acne, stitches, scars and more. As if we didn’t love the broader beauty ideals being acknowledged by a toy company, they then decided to share their new doll with a group of schoolchildren. While examining the dolls, the children’s responses included how much they liked it, and our personal favourite: “I really like her. She looks like my sister!” This is a really sweet clip!
