5 restaurants delivering up-market takeaway in Dublin this weekend

Cassie Stokes

Lockdown is in full swing – and so are delicious takeaways from restaurants.

The restaurant industry has really felt a huge hit over the last while so it’s important to support our local restaurants and show them love by stopping by and getting a delicious takeaway.

No, I’m not talking normal takeaways like your chippers although they area equally as yummy. I’m talking about ones a little nicer. Fancy date night dinners but in the comfort of your own home.

There are a few spots around Dublin where you can get your hands on some top class meals and fancy wine to go with it. So if you’re having a dinner party for two over the next while then you might want to stop by one of these places listed below.

Frank’s

One of the coolest new restaurants to hit Dublin City is Frank’s, and it’s almost impossible to book a table. And now since their doors are shut it’s even harder

But what you can do here is support them by ordering some other wines and cheese picnic boxes to your door, or popping in to collect them.

Date night at home tonight? We now offer our cheese picnic box with a bottle of juicy Italian red wine to order for collection or delivery. We’re delivering mixed wine cases and picnic boxes until 7pm tonight, 5km radius from the shop. Just click the link in our bio or send us a DM if you want to order something specific.

BANG

BANG Restaurant & Wine Bar has now become BANG @ Home. They’re still serving delicious, incredible food – the only difference is it’s in your home now. Every week, a unique menu is curated and made available to order on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening.

This week (Nov 18), the menu features an incredible Parmesan triangoli, Salters farm pork belly, Cote de Boeuf, or a roast crown of Thornhill Duck, as well some delectable starts and desserts too.

We’ve tried BANG’s new curated menu too, and can confirm that it’s absolutely gorgeous. The triangoli surely must have been sent form above. Well worth a buzz if you’re planning on having something that little bit fancier for takeaway this weekend. Check out their menus here.

Mak D6

A favourite in Ranelagh is now, like every other restaurant in the country, takeaway only. Last lockdown their takeaway service was a huge success – some nights it even sold out.

So if you want to get a delicious Asian takeaway then you should book your order early enough.

777

You can’t usually get a table in 777 so it’s nice to have the option to takeaway. This lockdown, they are back doing their at-home takeaway boxes perfect for a date night at home.

We tried it and can confirm it’s delicious Mexican in your house, the kit has you covered for everything. They even do takeaway cocktails – yum.

Pi Pizza

This is the boujiest of the pizza places, so if you want a fancy delicious pizza then hit up Pi. The pizzas are just as good when you get them home too – and now they’re on Deliveroo too!

Sorted.
