These are the best ham and cheese toasties in Dublin, according to Instagram

Cassie Stokes

The best thing about the weather getting colder is that delicious warm food takes top spot on our to do list.

I don’t know what it is but as soon as September hits it’s time for warm soup and delicious warm sandwiches… and of course hot chocolates.

Sometimes it’s hard to find the perfect toastie in Dublin because when you have a craving, you simply just can’t think of the best place to go.

So, in order to suss the best toastie currently available in Dublin I asked Instagram. Next time you’re stuck, look no further…

Mary’s Bar

This place does a very simple hard and cheese sandwich perfectly. It looks like one you would make at home and I mean that in the best way possible.

Simple always does the trick when it comes to ham and cheese toasties especially when you can sit and have a drink with it in town.

Hush

Hush only opened their doors a few weeks ago but it has quickly become the go to for lunchtimes treats.

Their ham and cheese toastie is one of the most beautiful looking sandwiches I have ever laid my eyes on… For real.

Loose Cannon

If you’ve walked down Drury Street you will have walked past this place.

A very cool little wine and cheese bar that always has people standing outside enjoying the buzz of Dublin, Loose Canon is worth a shot next time you’re sandwich hunting.

A toastie and a glass of wine – the perfect evening in Dublin if you ask me. And a great spot to people watch.

Anti Social

This spot was looking after Dublin one cocktail at a time during lockdown. You may know them best for that but they also offer some delicious food to go with your drink.

They’re now open and serving delicious toasties – a winner every time if Instagram is anything to go by.

Griolladh

This place opened up during lockdown and has been a hit ever since.

There’s no messing around with their ham and cheese toastie – it’s got enough of everything but not too much of anything… if you know what I mean.

Head over to the Malahide Road to have a taste of one of these beauties. They also have a few pop ups lined up for the future.

Meltdown

I’ve had some delicious toasted sandwiches in Meltdown and even have been known to get the odd Deliveroo from them.

If you find yourself in town craving a ham and cheese number, then this could be a good shout. If the sun is shining, all the better.

Another few places that popped up in the results – but sadly didn’t have a delicious looking pic of a toastie on their Instagram – were Pmacs in Dundrum, Union Cafe in Mount Merrion and Deli 147 in Dublin city.
