Christmas is officially on its way!

It’s time to get into that Christmas spirit and that means food. Lots and lots of delicious food.

Well, we know the best way to kick off this Christmas eating season – Taste of Dublin. Taste of Dublin, you ask? Isn’t that the food festival that happens in the summer? Well, yes, yes it is. But now Taste of Dublin has returned with a very festive event inspired by Tesco Finest.

Taste of Dublin: Festive Edition is coming to the RDS from November 28 to December 1, armed with some fantastic chefs and the best Christmas recipes out there. There will be workshops and demonstrations and, of course, lots and lots of delicious dishes to sample. It’s going to be an extravaganza, let us tell you.

If you’re cooking your first Christmas dinner this year or you want some tips and tricks to help you perfect your Christmas Day meal, head along to the DID Electrical Chef’s Theatre. There you will see Ireland’s top culinary talent slicing and dicing their way through all the best festive recipes.

There will be some new recipes that you might want to try out and there will also be all of the old reliables too – think mince pies, yule logs, and meringue roulades. JR Ryall, Nicola Curran Zammit, Brian McDermott, Aoife Noonan, and Karan Mittal will all be there to help you out with your festive party canapes. You will be the host of the year.

Adrian Martin and Edward Hayden will also be on hand to tell you all how to master those main Christmas Day dishes. They’ll teach you how to cook the most succulent turkey, how to glaze your ham to perfection, how to roast the crispiest potatoes, how to mix the most scrumptious gravy, and how to perfect your Christmas stuffing.

For any veggies, vegans, or coeliacs out there, Ciara Brennan, Holly White, and Jeeny Maltese will be creating some alternative festive recipes to make sure you’re not missing out on any delicious tastes. Gone are the days of dry nut loaves as the only Christmas dish to eat.

This is going to be a Christmas to remember (not to mention the food coma of a lifetime).

There is so much more that will be happening at Taste of Dublin: Festive Edition. By the time you leave you’ll be experts in Christmas, Christmas cooking, hosting parties, and, well, eating (did we mention there will be oodles of scrumptious treats to try?).

If this sounds like your kind of thing (and why wouldn’t it?), you can book yourselves some tickets on the Taste of Dublin website.

What better way to start off the Christmas season?
