Egg-cellent news! Prosecco and gin Easter eggs have just landed

Easter is looking WELL already.

Chocolate alongside our favourite tipple always sounds like a good idea and we are seriously liking the look of these ones.

Prestat Chocolatiers in the UK has created two drool-worthy eggs featuring our two favourite alcoholic beverages. Yep, a “pink popping prosecco egg” and a “London gin truffle egg”, making us ready to throw lent in the bin and welcome Easter early… however, we have self control so we will wait*.

*this could be a lie.

Both eggs cost £17.50 (€19) and sound utterly delicious!

The prosecco egg is described as: “A milk chocolate egg with a fizzing pink chocolate lining filled with popping pink prosecco mini-truffles with prosecco infused, dark chocolate ganache centres” DROOL.

While the gin egg is: “Filled with truffles made with ganache and flavoured with gin and mediterranean lemon oil, then all enrobed in a creamy white chocolate. However, a bite of Prestat’s homage to a London Gin and tonic reveals another secret ingredient – a magical fizz that tingles on your tongue.

Now both eggs are in stock and online however, they only ship to England so it looks like you will need a relative in the UK to post this one on *sigh*, HOWEVER, the eggs were spotted in Fallon and Byrne on Exchequer St, Dublin 2, last year, so perhaps they will be in stock there once again this year? We will keep our peepers peeled!
