Malteser Bunny Easter bark takes 10 minutes to make and it’s a lazy girl’s dream

Yum!

Denise Curtin

Hosting a lunch for the gals?

Having a few friends around for wine and chats?

Want to impress your partner’s parents with your culinary expertise?

Need to butter up your dad before borrowing some Bank Holiday funds?

Whatever the case may be, this divine Easter bark is the perfect lazy girl’s recipe that takes 10 minutes to make.

So basically, you’ve (I have) no excuse to roll up the sleeves.

What you need:

200g milk chocolate

200g white chocolate

8 Malteser Bunny chocolates

Mini Eggs

Sprinkles

Method:

  1. Melt the milk chocolate in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring constantly to make sure it doesn’t burn. Once melted, pour the milk chocolate into a parchment-lined baking tin to a rough 25.5 x 28cm (10 x 11in) rectangle.
  2. Pop the chocolate tray into the fridge for 10 minutes to cool.
  3. While the milk chocolate is cooling, melt the white chocolate as above. Then, remove the milk chocolate from the fridge and pour the white chocolate over, spreading it with a spatula so it creates two even layers.
  4. Next, add your toppings pressing them down into the bark and leave to set before breaking into shards.

Voila.
