These Nutella Cinnamon rolls look seriously delicious

Sarah McKenna Barry

Brunch just got a lot more interesting.

Nutella cinnamon rolls have been doing the rounds on TikTok, and we can understand why.

They pack all the flavour of churros, but are far easier to make. On top of that, you don’t need a deep-fat fryer – a frying pan will work just fine.

These tasty little rolls would be right at home at the breakfast table, or as an indulgent dessert, and we cannot wait to try them.

TikTok user Lilac Bakery shared the recipe for Nutella cinnamon rolls on their profile, and their video has been watched over 3.5 million times.

To make them yourself, you’ll need sliced bread, Nutella, an egg, a dash of milk, a tablespoon of sugar, vanilla essence, cinnamon and some butter.

Start by chopping the crusts of several slices of bread. Feel free to use brown or white, whichever you prefer. Grab a rolling pin and use it to flatten your slices.

Next, spread a generous dollop of Nutella – or indeed any chocolate spread – across one side of each slice. Roll them all up, and set them aside.

Then, crack and egg into a bowl and add a teaspoon of vanilla essence, a tablespoon of caster sugar and about a cup of milk. Mix your the ingredients together and then dunk your bread roll into the bowl.

Once your bread is nice and wet, roll it around on a plate of cinnamon powder.

Finally, pop some butter on your pan and get the heat going.

When it’s melted, place your rolls onto the pan and let them cook for a few minutes, turning them occasionally.

Once they’ve turned golden brown, grab a pair of tongs and take them off the heat.

Pop your Nutella cinnamon rolls on a plate with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of ice-cream and your dessert is ready to go. Enjoy!
