Unicorn Lattes are here (and you can get one in Dublin)

Trine Jensen-Burke

So unicorn lattes are an actual, real-life thing – and trust us, they are every bit as magical as they sound.

These colourful concoctions (think rainbow hues and glitter) have been blowing up our social media feeds in the last couple of weeks, and when you see them, you will understand why.

You know what really brightens up a rainy day ☔️? (Hint: ???) RG: @the.beauty.juice

Apparently, this trendy new drink originated from End, a hip and happening coffee bar in Brooklyn, USA.

And, as one would expect from the hipster capital of the world, despite having the word ‘latte’ in its name, this healing and colourful drink is, in fact, entirely caffeine free.

Yup, that’s right – the unicorn latte is all about wellness, and choc-a-bloc with ingredients that are all sorts of good for you.

Made with ginger, lemon, coconut milk, and honey, it is sweet and nourishing. And, once a brightly-coloured algae is dropped into it, it transforms into a vivid shade of blue. To give it that extra wow-factor, the drink is then garnished with turmeric and pomegranate powder, as well as edible flowers or vegan sprinkles.

We’re in.

In the Cracked Nut on Dublin’s Camden Street, you can now get your very own blue latte – and, being based only around the corner from this place, we can tell you first hand how totally addictive these are!
