Ireland’s largest health, fitness and wellness festival is hitting the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on Saturday May 12 and Sunday May 13.

It’s the ideal opportunity to get a head start on feeling exceptional as we get expert advice from the many health and wellness professionals moseying about.

There’s set to be over 60 experts in various fields (think yoga, nutrition, fitness), and to begin dropping just a few names, we’ll see Joe Wicks (aka The Body Coach), Simone De La Rue (aka Body by Simone), Shona Vertue, Svava Sigbertsdottir (The Viking Method), Leonie Lynch, Deliciously Ella and Faial Abdalla. The entire list is pretty impressive we must admit.

Food vendors will also be dotted around the festival, so there’s little chance of rumbling bellies. We can look forward to being entirely satisfied with the various foodie options available as all produce is entirely matched to the themes of health, fitness and wellbeing.


There will also be a few clothing/fitness gear brands on the grounds too, so if you’re in need of some stunning workout pants or the perfect fit for your yoga class, you might just be in luck.

In the meantime however, you can get a head start with KBC Bank Ireland and Wellfest’s new 30-day wellness programme, all pieced together and led by performance psychologist Gerry Hussey, best-selling cookery author Roz Purcell, and Dublin GAA player and fitness entrepreneur Philly McMahon.

Basically they’ve laid out a WellGood calendar full of little tips and tricks which, if practised daily, we can expect a more positive life, healthier lifestyle, and greater opportunity. This week’s challenges (Day 19 to Day 24) included Roz and Philly’s post-workout meal, Philly’s recovery tips with foam rolling, and Gerry’s no phone rule in the bedroom. Ooh, we’re pretty intrigued by that last one! Head to Wellfest online to check out the superb videos and advice given by the experts as part of the WellGood challenge.
