It’s about time we had a proper evening out, we think.

We’re cautiously dipping our toes back into the world of socialising. Restaurants and bars are beginning to open, but we’re still following guidelines as we all have a responsibility to keep each other healthy. That being said, after months of Zoom quizzes we can’t contain our excitement for Tullamore D.E.W.’s new cocktail classes, which are the perfect size at just six people per class!

After three months of being closed, the Tullamore D.E.W. Visitor Centre has re-opened its doors and, to celebrate, it is introducing a brilliant new offering to customers: cocktail classes (our favourite).

The Tully Cocktail Making Class is designed for groups of friends and family who want to enjoy an evening out together, to learn some cocktail-making tricks to impress friends with, and to have plenty of great craic while you’re at it. They will be hosting four Tully Cocktail Making Classes a week – two on Friday evening and two on Saturday evening, with each class following the all-important social-distancing protocols. (Safety first, ladies! Then fun a very close second.)

Participants of the cocktail-making class will be greeted with a drink on arrival (our favourite way to start a night) and will then learn how to make three delectable cocktails. They will also get to bottle up one of these cocktails to takeaway and enjoy at home. Divine.

The experience will be hosted by one of Tullamore D.E.W.’s brand ambassadors and cocktail experts who will teach guests everything from the history of the brand in Tullamore to how to use simple ingredients to make great drinks, learning the importance of getting the balance of flavours right along with perfect presentation.

The menu will include some old faves, like their Whiskey Sour, the Tully Daiquiri, and their Old Fashioned, along with a few of Tullamore’s fantastic new show stoppers that you can make for all your future parties.

The cocktail class will last for two hours and costs €50 per person, including the four delicious drinks (one that you’ll be taking home), the cocktail masterclass, and a branded glass and cocktail-making handbook to help you continue your mixology journey at home. Check out their website to book your class now.

However, if you’re lucky you may not have to pay at all! We’ve teamed up with Tullamore D.E.W. to send a lucky person and three of their friends to this fab cocktail-making class. Just think – the four of you will get a brilliant night out, making cocktails and learning some new skills. It’s the perfect way to enjoy yourself without risking any crowds.

Check out our video on how we got on at the cocktail making class here.

Tullamore D.E.W. is the second largest Irish whiskey brand in the world, with global sales of more than 1.4 million (9L) cases worldwide. In 2014, William Grant and Sons completed construction of a new state-of-the-art distillery in Tullamore, marking the return of whiskey production to the town, 60 years after the original distillery closed its doors. The distillery is just a five-minute drive from the Tullamore D.E.W. Visitor Centre.
