The Haka is one of the most fearsome sights in sport - a traditional ancestral war cry, dance or challenge that screams "We're Ready!"
But can your local team do it justice? Lidl Ireland want to see it happen!
________________________________
For the chance to kit out your local team, Lidl Ireland are asking parents around the country to get involved and submit a video of your team, club, class, school or community doing your version of the Haka.
Email your video to Lidl Ireland, and it will be uploaded to their
YouTube Channel.
Judging will be based on some familiar rugby terminology...
Touch = base with your local community and raise the profile of your club
Pause = Take time to come up with an innovative and creative concept for your video
Engage = get people talking in your community
Paddy Jackson and Ian Madigan of the Irish Rugby Team will be giving feedback throughout the competition and choose the lucky winners at the end. This is a great opportunity to showcase your team, club or school to the nation so get involved!
The competition is open to entrants of all ages. Entries from rugby teams and clubs for adults, children and schools are all welcome.
There is no restriction on the number of people you have in your video. Get your community involved! Players, parents, coaches, teachers, grandparents, neighbours and local sporting heroes can all play a part in helping you kit out your club!
Check out the Haka Irish Style Promotional Pack for some great tools to help your video get ‘likes’ from your local community.
