There’s no better feeling than when we’re feeling as fresh and healthy as a daisy.

With a hectic lifestyle it’s not always easy to accomplish, but there are some super easy and fool proof ways to declutter your mind.

Declutter your house

Good god, the thought of it all! But if you take just a few hours over the week to get rid of all that clutter and chaos for good you’ll be feeling much freer in your own home. A cluttered home is a major contributor to a cluttered mind so get tossing all the rubbish and pass on your good clothes. In relation to health, you’ll be getting rid of plenty of dust particles and toxins too.

Quit multi-tasking

We lead chaotic lifestyles, but managing to focus on one thing at a time is a sure way to feel more relaxed. Try to avoid doing your makeup in the car or being on the phone while making dinner. You’ll find doing one thing at a time and focusing all of your attention on that primary task gets the job done and done well!

Get creative

Think of new hobbies and ways to get you out of the house, and away from the office. A sport or creative hobby will work wonders and it gives you something completely different and unrelated to think about. It’s quite the ideal way to free your mind and truly separate life from work life. Any hobby will do.

Eat well

The foods we eat can either contribute to, or reduce stress. Eat plenty of veggies – their alkaline properties make our bellies and bodies feel wonderful and energetic. When you’re healthy in body you’re also much healthier in mind.

Move in the morning

Engaging in a favourite exercise every morning is key to better health. Ok, so ‘favourite exercise’ sounds a bit unrealistic but we promise once you do this for approximately a month, your body actually gets used to it and you begin to crave that little bit of exercise! Miraculous indeed!

Stay hydrated

Yes, it’s super obvious but oh so important. Water helps fight fatigue, aids digestion, keeps our kidneys working as they should, it rids our body of toxins and helps us to think more clearly. In the mornings, having a cool water shower had put that spring in your step for the entire day too! Tortuous, perhaps, but very refreshing.

Keep a diary or planner to put your mind at ease. You’ll never have to spend a day, a week or a month remembering you have to get a certain task finished by whatever time or date. Make a note of it instead and stay relaxed.
