We’ve paired up with our pals at LowLow to bring you a series of recipes that are high on taste, but low on calories. The perfect excuse to get the girls over for a bite to eat and a catch up! Here’s a simple recipe for some scrumptious LowLow Oat and Nut Cookies!

What you’ll need:
110g LowLow Original spread.
1 tblsp golden syrup.
150g flour, sieved.
½ tsp bread soda, sieved.
115g/4oz brown sugar.
115g/4oz oatmeal.
50g flaked almonds [pecans or walnuts].
What you’ll get:
30 cookies.
What to do:
1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees/400 f/gas 6.
2. Place LowLow and golden syrup in a small saucepan over a gentle heat, stir until melted.
3. Place all other ingredients into a mixing bowl, pour LowLow and golden syrup over them and mix all ingredients together.
4. Place small spoonfuls of mix on to a prepared baking sheet, flattening slightly with the back of spoon.
5. Place in preheated oven and cook until golden. Leave for a few minutes on baking sheet before transferring over to a wire rack to cool.
Tip: Cookies keep in an air tight cookie container for up to a week, if they make it to cookie jar!
