We just can’t help it sometimes.

It is easy to feel overwhelmed when you are run ragged during the week.

If this sounds familiar (doesn’t it just?!), you should know about this handy little breathing exercise, which has been proven to calm you down, and, at night, help you to go to sleep quicker.

4-7-8 Breathing Exercise

You can also use it, anytime, anywhere, to calm yourself in times of stress.

Here’s what you do:
1. Breathe in for four seconds.
2. Hold breath for seven seconds.
3. Slowly breathe out for eight seconds.

There you go. Quick and simple. Now try it if you get overwhelmed this week and hopefully it’ll get you through any stressful times.
