Two words: Dream job.
I know, I know, it's still only October. We haven't even carved our pumpkins for
Halloween yet. But still, Christmas always seems to creep up on us, and with it, the return of top-tier food. Turkey, pudding, mince pies - we love it all, and cannot wait to get eating.
But, what if there was a way you could get paid to eat Christmas food? It might sound a bit far-fetched, but a UK-based food company is actually on the hunt to employ someone to taste wine and eat their cheese as they gear up for their busy Christmas period.
Taking to Instagram,
Cartwright and Butler outlined the role, and it sounds like a dream come true.
Their post reads: "Are you our next CHEESE & WINE taster?
"We are looking for an avid taster to sample each of our delicious cheeses and wines over the festive period, including everything from strong cheddar and creamy gouda to full bodied Merlot and crisp Sauvignon."

Cartwright and Butler's official wine and cheese reviewer will receive £500 (€589.58) for their services as well as "all the wine and cheese you can get through over the festive period".
Going into more depth on their website, the
job overview reads: "You'll be required to sip through our complete collection of wines, as well as enjoy each of our premium cheeses and accompanying biscuits and snacks. Once you've tasted each of our wines and cheeses, you'll be asked to share your thoughts on each product, from the taste to the packaging and overall experience."
In terms of qualifications, Cartwright and Butler aren't looking for anything fancy. Previous experience in food reviewing isn't required, but a "passion for all things Christmas, cheese, crackers and wine" is an "absolute must".
