Being healthy is all about leading a happy, wholesome lifestyle... but it's not the massive task you believe it to be.
Small changes make BIG differences and today we're getting to the crunch on getting healthy, in association with Special K Cracker Crisps.
Include these five tips in your daily life and you'll see a big change, fast.
1. Freshen It Up
Get outside and take a few deep breaths. Fresh air is full of feel-good negtaive ions which can boost oxygen flow to the brain. Have you ever actually regretted your run around the block or your walk on the beach? Combine fresh air with exercise and boost your energy big time.
2. It's The Berries
These bite-size fruits are chock-a-block full of antioxidants, known to boost immunity and stave off disease. They'll help you age with grace too, always good. Berries are always a good idea for a midday snack or a fruity nibble at the office desk...
3. Wash Up
Keep your snooze time healthy. Dust mites, a major allergy trigger, love to hang out in your bed. Wash your sheets and pillowcases once a week and make sure your bed gets a good shake-up each morning.
4. Crank It Down
MP3 players can cause more damage than you think. They can create sound up to 120 decibels, booming for your ears and loud enough to cause hearing loss over time. Keep volume coming through your headphones to no more than 60 per cent of the max, for no more than 60 minutes a day. It's called the 60/60 rule.
5. Catch Your Zzzzs
Some of us have great intentions and head to bed early but can lie awake worrying or thinking for hours. When your mind starts racing, think about the next day's challenges, then take long breaths. Breathe in, breathe out. Your body will learn how to relax.
Getting To The Crunch is brought to you in association with Special K Cracker Crisps.
Special K Cracker Crisps come in 3 flavours - Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar, Sour Cream and Onion and Sweet Chilli. Delivering 21 crisps for less than 95 calories, you can enjoy all of the taste with none of the worry! Crisps that love you back...
