Here’s why you should add sugar to your shampoo

We never heard of this...

When it comes to handy tips and tricks, I will try anything once.

Earlier this week, we heard of a story that made any cheap wine taste better – by adding one ingredient to the bottom of your glass.

A wine expert recommended adding SALT of all things to a glass of wine to make it taste better and considering the amount of dodgy cheap wine I’ve had pass my lips (and promptly come back up the same way hours later) I’ll try ANYTHING to make my 4 euro Aldi wine taste better.

Stepping aside from my underlying lowkey alcoholism, one doctor has recommended adding an ingredient found in your kitchen to expand on your hair washing experience.

When your roots are especially greasy and you want to give your head a good scrub, scalp scrubs can cost an arm and a leg but Dr. Francesca Fusco has come to the rescue.

A dermatologist at Wexler Dermatology, Francesca spoke of the importance of exfoliating your scalp every now and again, which can be easily done by lathering your shampoo with sugar.

“Adding a tablespoon of sugar to a dollop of shampoo will gently exfoliate the scalp and easily dissolve and rinse out without leaving any residue on hair.”

The use of sugar will get rid of all those icky dead skin cells, dandruff and general grease – aswell as excess shampoo.
