Hands up who does this?

Who is guilty of not doing this?

Of all the items in your bathroom, it turns out your bathmat is the dirtiest. But, it’s also the item that people forget to clean regularly.

Experts advise people to wash them at least once a week in order to keep them fresh and germ-free. According to Expert Home Tips, the main problem is that bathroom mats don’t get the proper chance to dry out in between uses and so germs and bacteria begin to grow.

It also comes into contact with shoes and bare feet a lot more than you would think.

The severity of the issue will depend on how many people you live with and how often the bathmat is used/stepped on.

And if you thought your bath/shower mat was something to be concerned over, you might not be too pleased to hear about the mat around the toilet.

They suffer even worse issues, with drops of urine and faeces particles coming into contact with them.

Gross, we know.

The advice is to wash them both at least once a week in order to avoid any major issues.
