Khloe Kardashian has a strange recommendation for a healthy vagina
So, vaginal health is a topic that women want to know more about, (believe us we know) even if it isn't a widely discussed subject.
Scented products can irritate your vagina, there's a 'proper' way to clean your vagina AND you should always make sure you've dried yourself properly after the shower as yeast infections thrive in moist conditions.
Anyway, Khloe K has divulged her top tip for vaginal health and we're not quite sure what to think.
In a post on her website, the reality TV star explained:
“No joke: vitamin E may strengthen vaginal lining!!! Moisturize your labia and vagina with vitamin E oil to combat dryness and soothe irritation".
However, one health expert says the tip is only useful if you suffer from vaginal dryness.
Speaking to Self, Pari Ghodsi, M.D., obstetrician and gynecology doctor based in Los Angeles says:
“You can put vitamin E oil in and around your vagina—it can act as a natural lubricant and moisturizer.
“With that said, if you do not suffer from vaginal dryness, it is unnecessary".
Patti also says that while Vitamin E can help alleviate irritation, it has little or no impact on the vaginal lining's strength.
The professional explains that the best way to strengthen your vagina is by practising pelvic floor exercises.
Also, if your vagina isn't dry, avoid the Vitamin E as it can potentially irritate 'mucous membranes' found in the vagina.
