Bennett has said that she is “over the moon” to be home.

Lynsey Bennett has returned home to Ireland to reunite with her two daughters.

The mum, who was one of the women impacted by the CervicalCheck scandal in Ireland, had been in Germany for 10 days undergoing treatment.

Taking to Instagram, Lynsey posted a series of pictures with her daughters from their Easter weekend.

“Got to see my babies Sunday evening,” she wrote in the caption, accompanying the images.

Lynsey explained that her daughters had been staying with their father while she was in Germany for treatment.

She then apologised to her followers for not responding to messages.

“Apologies for my lack of responses to messages,” she wrote. “When I got home I’ve just needed time for me and now my girls are back with me and off this week I will still be a little MIA.”

She shared that shopping will feature on their agenda over the next few days and added that she is “over the moon” to see her daughter off to her first ever disco.

Lynsey had previously expressed hope that she would be able to return home to Ireland in April after putting on some weight.

In a post on Instagram, she explained that she is looking forward to being home, as she misses her children “so much”.

She wrote: “I was meant to be staying another week in Germany but I am so happy with how things are going (…) even managed to put on 2.3kg.

“Which after 3 months of severely dropping weight and not being able to get it to stabilise is just amazing.”

Lynsey also expressed concern over being far away from her children given current events.

She wrote: “I am missing the kiddies so much and even more when I see all that is happening in the world which also terrifies me.”
