New sunscreen pill promises sun protection while you get a tan

The new drug will allow skin to absorb UV rays.

The resentment we feel putting on sunscreen.

Yes, it will protect our skin but we lose all hope of getting a nice summer glow.

However, apparently there is a new drug that provides you skin with the sun protection it needs while allowing you to develop a bit of a colour, and we’re very interested.

Researchers say that the pill increases the body’s production of melanin, which absorbs the UV radiation and decreases the damage to our skin cells.

This means that people won’t have to spend so much time in the sun to get a tan, and it can give extra protection for those who burn easily.

new pill provides sun protection while allowing people to tan.

You interested? Well, you’ll have to wait a while to get your hands on it as this pill is still in the research phase.

“This medication will likely not take the place of traditional sunscreen and sun protective behaviour, but it may be helpful in some of our most at-risk patients,” dermatologist Joshua Zeichner said of the new drug.

While we’ll still soak ourselves in at least a factor 20 for fear of burning, we’d definitely give this a try.
