You may think that your name couldn't possibly have anything to do with your fitness levels, but a survey has revealed a bizarre correlation.
Apparently, women named Laura and men named James are significantly more likely to stick to a serious gym routine than people with any other name.
The weird results were discovered after the UK gym chain Fitness First analysed five years of computer data documenting their customers' membership histories.
They found the average Laura spent 26 percent more time in the gym each week than her rivals, scheduling at least two high intensity, fat-blasting workouts.
People named Laura also spent an average of 2.5 hours per visit and were found to be more careful about their fitness... they were more likely to work out on Christmas Eve while the rest of us are stuffing our faces.
The average James hits the gym instead of the bar on a Friday night, racking up an average of 24 percent more gym time per week than his rivals.
Women named Carly were most likely to join a gym and then leave after just three sessions, while men called Larry were found to be super motivated during January and September and then vanish for the rest of the year.
Michaels averaged 90 minute per session in the gym... half of which was spent socialising.
