Apparently, women with bigger bums are smarter and healthier than those with small bums.
Who knew?
A study by Oxford University found that those with bigger behinds were "more resistant to chronic illness" and also more intelligent.
The study examined more that 16,000 women to gather results.
The women who had a bigger bums had lower cholesterol and glucose levels, and higher levels of Omega 3 fatty acids.
All good things, folks.
The high levels of Omega 3 help to develop a healthy, working brain.
Lead researcher on the study, Dr. Konstantinos Manolopoulous, said:
"The idea that body fat distribution is important to health has been known for some time."
"However, it is only very recently that thigh fat and a large hip circumference have been shown to promote health; that lower body fat is protective by itself."
Great news for those of us with significant backsides.
