We all know that there’s a lot of crazy diets out there, but we have to say this one is probably the most controversial one we’ve come across in a long time. Ladies, have you heard about the revenge diet yet?
The Stir reports that Sarah Clancy, the poster woman for this diet, ran into her ex-boyfriend one day and discovered that he had replaced her with a thinner, younger model. Sarah, a mother, had put on weight since giving birth and blamed the split with her ex for causing her to pile on the pounds.
After seeing her ex with his new woman, Sarah decided to lose the weight for once and for all. She managed to drop from a size 16 to a size 6 and maintains that she has her ex to thank for her slim figure.
However, Sarah’s weight loss has prompted various health experts to express their concerns about the revenge diet as it is being dubbed. The diet basically involves seriously cutting back on the amount of food you consume and exercising constantly. In short, it isn’t exactly healthy.

Have you ever gone on a crash diet just to show your ex what he's missing?
Experts have also been warning about the dangers of crash dieting when you are feeling devastated, humiliated and hurt (like Sarah after she saw her ex with a new woman). We all know these emotions aren't exactly nice and that they can make our perceptions about ourselves become a bit skewed, therefore embarking on a serious regime to lose weight probably isn't a good idea when we're experiencing these feelings.
What do you think ladies? Is a Revenge Diet the way to go? Or is the old saying “happiness is the best revenge” true in this case?
