There is a huge health benefit to sleeping in the nude

We are huge fans of our sleep and understand completely that a bad sleep can have dire consequences on our ability to function.

So, we’re always looking for some tips for better sleep.

We also factor in what we wear to bed and learnt recently that wearing underwear while we sleep can increase the likelihood of yeast infections.

It’s no wonder then that sleeping fully nude is actually the best way to ensure the best sleep. According to Cosmopolitan, sleeping in the nip can improve your sex life, help you sleep better and most importantly, keep you looking younger for longer.

The science behind it is that sleeping in the nude will help you body regulate your temperature better. Wearing jammies and using loads of blankets can cause the body to be too warm resulting in a poor release of release of melatonin and growth hormone. Sleeping naked ensures the optimum release of melatonin and growth hormone which will have incredible benefits.

As your body temperature drops, growth hormone is released and works its regenerative magic,” says Natasha Turner, author of The Hormone Diet.

A lack of that regenerative magic could be why you’re spending so much on facial creams and anti-ageing products.

The human growth hormone is also responsible for helping the body lose weight and increase muscle growth which means that sleeping in your birthday suit will pretty much leave you younger, buffer and generally healthier.

Do yourself a favour and ditch the onesie and invest in some good cotton sheets.
