Looking for a weekend of activity?

There’s a new festival happening at the end of March promoting health, sports and wellness. Taking place in the RDS, Dublin on Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25, Outdoor Revolution will have panel discussions, cooking demonstrations, fitness classes and workshops.

The event is the brainchild of former Tipperary hurler John O’Brien and sports physiotherapist Tomás O’Connell. As well as encouraging beginners to take up outdoor sports, John and Tomás want to discuss and highlight the opportunities out there for amateur and professional athletes facing retirement.

The line-up of speakers is pretty impressive with the likes of Rozanna Purcell, Stephen Hunt, Jessie Barr, Seán Kelly, Niamh Briggs and Joe Brolly taking part.

Throughout the weekend, attendees will be able to try out free fitness classes including, Pilates, by Project Revive, HIIT sessions, by Jenni Trx, Spin, Probox and HIIT classes, by Raw Gyms, Yoga, by Miriam Kerins and HIIT, by Pure Results.

It will be a family-friendly event, and tickets are currently on sale for €15.

Commenting on the announcement, co-founder John O’Brien said: “We’re delighted to add such exceptional speakers to our line-up. We’re proud to say that Outdoor Revolution has something for everyone – whether you’re a GAA supporter, an amateur athlete or interested in finding healthier ways to feed your family, we’ve got the speaker for you.”

Further information on Outdoor Revolution can be found on their website.
