In this week’s instalment of self-defence using Krav Maga, we’ll be looking at how a woman can defend herself against a mugging attempt.
We’ve teamed up with instructor Patrick and his team at Krav Maga Ireland to bring you some top safety tips that you can easily adapt into your own routine for protection. Each week, we’ll analyse a new skill and demonstrate the method in protecting yourself from a possible attacker.
This week we look at how to respond to someone is trying to grab your bag. As stated by Patrick and his team, we need to stress to never die or endanger your safety over keeping possessions. This technique is aimed at going against the expected reaction of an attacker looking to take your bag.
Again the aim of this technique is to give you the chance to break away from the attacker. This may not be with your bag, but will give you the chance to get away and run for help, putting your safety first.
For more information on Krav Maga courses available in Ireland, contact Patrick via his website here, or check the team out on Facebook here.
