We love her positive attitude!

Sundays… when the week ahead seems so full of possibilities and potential.

It’s also a day when plenty of us consider ways to improve our diet and overall health – a sentiment that might mean cutting out or reducing alcohol consumption.

And if you’re looking for a spot of new-week inspo, fitness blogger Jelly Devote might just be it.

She’s 5ft 3in and aged 21 – she weighed around 11 stone. She was drinking several times a week, with beer and cider being her go-to beverage of choice.

Jelly (she has 585K followers on Insta, fyi) initially embarked on an extreme regime, dropping an incredible 4 stone – a weight-loss which, she says now, was “way too skinny for my own good”.

Currently, the Swedish blogger occupies a happy middle-ground; she’s put on weight, works out, looks amazing, and stays away from booze.

“I’ve never felt better,” she stated recently. “I have balance. I eat a doughnut… followed by a salad!

“I don’t drink alcohol often; I down my water… and most importantly I’ve gone from hating myself to loving myself.”

Jelly, who is now 27, continued:

“People always ask how much I’ve lost, and I honestly don’t know what my highest weight was – due to hating myself so much I didn’t weigh myself (probably around 75kg).

“And I don’t weigh myself anymore (lightest I’ve been 45kg, NOT HEALTHY).

“Weight doesn’t matter, you matter. How you feel about yourself. Don’t focus on a number that can fluctuate 5kg in two days.”

Jelly is also really honest about the cosmetic procedures she’s had: she’s had a breast augmentation and lip fillers, but says the rest of her is untouched.

Here at Her.ie, we don’t think it’s ever worth getting bogged down with your appearance or weight. Life is short; own and embrace what you got.

However, we do like Jelly’s positive message and we all know that healthy bodies and healthy minds are things we should all prioritise too.

As for the blogger’s top-tip for kick-starting your own regime? “Just START. Don’t make excuses, make possibilities and build your future!!

“You are strong and very capable of getting where ever you want.”

Hear, hear, we say.
